Description

This disorder has some things in common with the borderline personality disorder. People with these two disorders can react very dramatically to very ordinary events. Their reaction might be very hysterical, or very happy. People of both disorder like to get a lot of attention, and feel insecure when they are not.

Normal

Some people like to get attention. They like to see people listening to them or laughing about them.

Abnormal

The mood of people with a histrionic personality disorder can go from one extreme to the other in a few seconds. These may happen when the don't get the attention they want to have.
